One step further every day

It’s finally time for me to write the “About:” page. I’ve always wondered, what the “About” on a blog should look like. Is it “About the blogger”? Is it “About the content of the blog”? Well, I don’t consider myself a “blogger” (in 3-4 years, after I polish my style, perhaps), so I will write a bit of both.

My name is Alexandru Thomae. I work in the IT and Telecom fields (telecommunications-oriented IT specialist). I know I’m not your average software-dev-addicted IT nerd, but that’s good for me, as I can slot in easily in a Telecom Company. The purpose of the blog was primarily to record my impressions about the places I visit. I was actually supposed to leave for Tanzania in September 2006, but it happened that everything got delayed for one year. During this year, I’ve been a few months in London, UK (thus, the articles about London, written in Romanian).

I’ve planned to write the articles in Romanian and to have only the title in English. Now, after searching and searching for a blog about Dar Es Salaam (I’ve found only Ruth’s Blog), I’ve decided otherwise.
